Love these shoesLove these shoes. Second pair. They don't last forever, but they last long enough to get your moneys worth out of them. I had an insert to add more arch support and a bit more cushioning.
Sent wrong size and no exchanges!
I ordered regular black vans authentic shoes with the white rubber bottom and white laces. I ordered them in a men's size 9 and received a size 8. I then found out that the seller has a no-exchange policy. It was such a hassle to have to ship the shoes back only to find out that I could not have the correct size sent back to make up for THEIR mistake. The slip inside the box even said "size 9." Once they received the shoes I sent back, I got an email saying size 9 was out of stock. I wish they would have sent me this information before going through all that pointless trouble.
Great shoes for guys or girls
First a caution: if you have pretty wide toes, you might want to go a half-size bigger so you don't get blisters. Otherwise, I love my vans! My last pair lasted me through my whole study abroad trip where I was walking miles around England every day. I got a new pair in gray, and I love them as well. I wear them everyday, and they are surprisingly water-resistant in rain and snow. Make sure to keep your laces tied tight though; it's bad for your feet if they slip around in a shoe. It can cause blisters and not provide enough arch support.Also, Vans look awesome!

PERFECT FOR SKINNY JEANSThese are the same basic style as the mens, but a lot lighter and less bulky. It's hard to tell from the photos, but they're so low you have to wear shoeliners rather than no-show socks (just to give you an idea of the cut). These shoes have more arch support than my converse, it feels like they cradle the bottom of my feet where the chucks are just flat. I've seen lots of color combinations with this style, mine have white soles with pink accents and laces :) These are awesome with skinny jeans because they don't make your feet look huge against the tight ankle like my other sneakers do! I definitely recommend this shoe and plan to buy more in different colors.

The Vans Authentic Core Classics are a comfortable shoe with a unique urban style. Since I fall in the flat foot category this shoe accompanies my foot and provides proper support. The support of the shoe is similar to orthopedic shoes. It is a very nice shoe to have when in need of an all black pair of shoes as well. The black canvas that makes the body of the shoe is very durable and an easy clean. The style is also dynamic in the sense that it can pass as a tennis shoe or a casual shoe--depending upon what is worn with. I have worn these with both street clothes and casual clothing. It isn't a shoe I wear everyday but could definitely be used as such given the support it provides. If a shoe can be as comfortable as orthopedic footwear and still maintain the urban style definitely has my approval no to mention the reasonable price. The shipping came in a reasonable time at no charge. I consider this a great investment in the arena of shoes.

I have this line with Tama where I make these snare drums that are made out of diamond plate and that’s kind of my signature, so you’ve got the diamond plate here [on the side] and the Metallica logo and the little cartoony silly Lars in there... Spring has Sprung. . .Sorta.
I have done a couple of warm up sessions skating my big Welcome deck skating the local bike trails then I finally made the time to skate the pools in Little Rock. Since my last post – in November I think – we have had a couple of snow storms, a 2 day power outtage and gone from the 70′s down the 30′s back to the 70′s multiple times. Weather here has been pretty normal for Arkansas which means that there’s one or two good warm mornings for skating a week then after that it is cold again. 5″ deck on 51mm Bones SPF’s wrapped around Bone’s Reds. So, as it stands now, I’m skating what I would estimate is the lower 5 feet of the deep end of the pool. I’m skating my 8. I’m mainly just focusing on getting up as high as I can and gettting a good clean kick turn to come back down....
